This offer is for schools that do not have a Queer Youth Affinity Group and want support in launching this initiative.
According to Monita K. Bell, affinity groups “allow students who share an identity—usually a marginalized identity—to gather, talk in a safe space about issues related to that identity, and transfer that discussion into action that makes for a more equitable experience at school.”
We at Bmore Transform know that these spaces are vital to the health, well-being, and success of queer youth.
We work with interested students and their selected faculty/staff member to create a Queer Youth Affinity Group that will function as an extracurricular club for this school year.
