Kids Roleplaying Uncomfortable Situations Together

2 Sundays - Apr. 26 & Sep. 27

9:30am - 11:30pm | Dreamers & Make-Believers

Friendships are one of the most meaningful parts of life. For kids in 2nd–4th grade, friendships can bring joy, confidence, laughter, and a growing sense of belonging. At the same time, friendships at this age can also feel confusing, emotional, and complicated. Children are learning how to share attention, navigate disagreements, include others, and understand how their words and actions affect the people around them.

KRUST (Kids Roleplaying Uncomfortable Situations Together) is a small group intentionally designed for children currently in second through fourth grade to learn how to better navigate tricky situations constructively and authentically without judgment. We use the interactive and participatory role playing technique of Augusto Boal’s Image Theatre, to empower kids to reflect on, embody, and explore their experiences and feelings. Through this method, we’re able to provide kids with the space and encouragement to learn practical tools and language they can use every day in all the spaces they enter, in order to nurture friendships that are not only fun, but also respectful, resilient, and supportive. Everyone needs and deserves healthy friendships, regardless of their age!
